(On the launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea)

Earlier today, North Korea launched a ballistic missile that is believed to have flown over Japan and landed in the Pacific Ocean. This outrageous act follows recent repeated ballistic missile launches and we strongly condemn it.

In response to this incident, I issued instructions to confirm if any damage has resulted from falling objects, to collect and analyze information thoroughly, and to work in cooperation with relevant countries.

Immediately after finishing this press conference with you, I will convene the National Security Council and we will work to gather and analyze information.
